About KETAO

KETAO was founded in 2006 by Marcus Liebethal. The credo fresh//yummy//different stands not only for our culinary standard but also applies to the appearance, the presentation and the contact to our clients. The personal guidance and the individual designed concept for each event, make it possible to create special moments, which stay with you forever.
Marcus grew up in Leipzig where his parents run a café, restaurant, hotel and confectionery. He therefore grew up surrounded by the love for food and the art of cooking and baking and decided to follow his parents in their profession. After his apprenticeship in Leipzig, which he finished with distinction and various awards from cooking contests, he left for Berlin, working in a number of top-notch restaurants.
As freelancer he toured Germany for over five years to gain insight into the work of high-end hotels, top-cater and various restaurant concepts. During this time he also worked for star-restaurants and restaurants with different national cuisines, experiences he values enormously. He also worked as stylist for food photography in advertising as well as consultant who designed new concepts and food lines for clients.
